Hello everybody !
I'm Jessica, I'm 23 years old and I'm french. I decided to go 6 months in Ireland to do wwoofing, but, I don't speak english very well. I noticed that many hosts refused wwoofers because of the language and it scares me. Will hosts be ready to welcome me anyway?
I am a student in biology and I love the concept of organic farming.
Are there any people who have been in case and could advise me?
Thanks in advance for your help !
Have a good day
PS : I'm sorry if I made spelling or grammar mistakes

Hello Jessica, Generally speaking, hosts require a basic level of English so that communication between you and the host is possible. They need to know you understand what is asked of you so you can undertake the tasks required.
If your English is as good as your forum post above you should not need to worry (and I would not worry about your spelling or grammar, I could not find any fault with it and it is a lot better than many of us native English speakers!!)
Hosts usually say in their profiles if they require a good level of spoken English and also will usually say if they are happy to help you improve your level of English.
We recommend that it is a good idea, if possible, to have a skype chat with your host so you can both see what level of English is required.
I hope that helps!
Cheers
Rob

Hi Rob,
Thank you for your reply, it reassures me. Ok, I will discuss it directly with the hosts, I hope it will be ok.
Thank you for your help.
