FoWO have arranged a Group Insurance Policy with Lloyd’s of London to provide Personal Accident and Personal Liability insurance to all members of WWOOF who are visiting hosts.

Nationals travelling outside of their home country can also take out additional travel and medical insurance with PJ Haymans

Sections of Cover – Summary per member

  • Personal Liability £1,000,000
  • Personal Accident:
    • Death or Disablement - £20,000 (reduced to £10,000 for those aged under 16 or over 69
    • Permanent Total Disablement (from engaging in usual occupation for a period of 12 months) - £20,000
    • Loss of Limb or Limbs or Loss of Sight - £20,000

  • Cuba
  • Democratic Republic of the Congo
  • Iran
  • Libya
  • Sudan
  • Syria
  • Yemen
  • Countries under any sanction, prohibition or restriction by the United Nations, resolutions or the trade or economic sanctions, laws or regulations of the European Union, United Kingdom or United States of America

Otherwise all Nationals are insured when visiting a participating host country.

Yes – the maximum age to be eligible is 75

We hope that you have no problems with the WWOOFer Personal Accident and Liability Insurance provided, however, if you need to make a complaint please follow the instructions on the Evidence of Insurance – summary details as follows:

Yes, although there are a exclusions which include claims arising out of the ownership, possession or use of any: aircraft, aero spatial device or hovercraft; waterborne craft; mechanically propelled or horse drawn vehicle; mobile caravan or vehicular trailer; firearm; animal.

No, it is recommended that you arrange cover for your trip in your home country. FoWO do have an arrangement to provide International Travel Insurance with PJ Hayman which can be viewed Here which is separate to the WWOOFer Personal Accident and Liability Insurance.

No, it is recommended that you arrange cover for your trip. FoWO does have an arrangement to provide Nationals travelling outside of their home country with additional travel and medical insurance with PJ Haymans. This International Travel Insurance, which is separate to WWOOFer Personal Accident and Liability Insurance, can be viewed Here.

No, the FoWO scheme cover is fixed.

No, as long as the stay commences before the Policy Expiry Date as shown on your Evidence of Insurance.

No, cover only applies once you have arrived at a host in a participating country and ceases when you leave.

The Host’s own farm insurance will apply.
