I'll be in Ireland from early October through early December. I'm bringing rain gear and lots of layers; warm socks, long underwear, leather work/hiking boots, etc. Any advice on what to or what NOT to bring for that time time period? Thanks!

Sounds good enough. Winters have recently been wet and mild, with cold really only after Christmas, that may change though! Bring some activities for your own time, books etc, your favourite things etc

We had one wwoofer who brought a headtorch with them. It was such a simple, but fantastically useful thing to have, especially for putting in the livestock at night, that i went out and bought 2 after she left.
