In September, I'll leave France for few months of wwoofing in Ireland. But I asked myself about insurances, because I won't be under a school insurance or a professional insurance, so what insurance for wwoofing in Ireland ?

All WWOOFers need insurance. There is a special insurance policy available from OVEuropa. Simple health insurance is not enough - you need to be covered for other events.

Is it reasonable to ask wwoofers to provide proof of current valid WWOOF insurance before arriving?

Yes! You could also make it clear in your description that you will be needing proof - several hosts have done that.

Hello, my brother and I are WWOOFing this September in Ireland. We have already purchased our OV Europa insurance membership, but I read in the FAQs that it is necessary to have travel insurance as well as health insurance. Is OV Europa sufficient, or is it necessary for us to purchase travel insurance from another source as well? Thank you very much!

You need to look at the OVEuropa policy at http://www.oveuropa.com/gb/policy.html and decide if it covers your needs. A travel policy may add extra cover for loss of your belongings or travel delay/cancellation costs etc that are not covered by OVEuropa but it depends on the extra costs and the value of the cover you want. It's a matter of choice.
