There have been some additions and changes to the website, most as a result of requests from members. These include a calendar on host pages, search facilities for hosts and WWOOFers, translations of some pages with more on the way, improved searching in the list of hosts, direct links to the latest hosts and printer-friendly versions of most pages.
Calendar
Hosts may now include a Google calendar on their page.This allows you to show when you have places free and when you are booked up. It may help at the busiest times when you receive many requests for places that you just don't have.
Setting up a Google calendar does take a little time but once done, is easy to maintain. If you are not comfortable with technical things, it may not be for you - but it really is not so difficult to do!

Search
Search facilities are now available from the host and WWOOFer menus. These will help to find members on the site. We have had to limit the scope of searches for security reasons but you should be able to find members more easily when you need to.
Print views
Printer-friendly views are now accessible on most pages from the far right of the top menu (it's a little printer icon!). This may be useful if WWOOFers need to print host pages or for information pages that may need to be retained for reference. No email addresses can be printed so there is no chance of someone printing out everyone's secure contact details as has happened on other WWOOF sites in the past.
Log-in problems and email links
There were some problems with logging in and with links not working from emails sent by WWOOFers. This should have been solved now by a small technical change that prevents anyone from accessing the site without the 'www' part of the address. If you are still experiencing problems, please do let Peter know. There is also some more help in the 'FAQ' section of the site.
Translations
French translations of the 'How to be a WWOOFer' pages and the 'Fequently Asked Questions (FAQ)' sections for WWOOFers have now been provided - translations in other languages are on the way. We were getting quite a few requests for guidance from WWOOFers with little English so this should help.
Menu items
In case you hadn't noticed, the left side menu now has links to hosts who have come online during the last 21 days and to latest forum posts. The list of latest hosts is intended to help WWOOFers who are looking for vacant places. New information about changes to the site and any new discussion topics in the forum can now be reached more easily.
