BOOKED UP UNTIL THE AUTUMN. Ballylagan Organic Farm in County Antrim was one of the pioneering organic farms in Northern Ireland. Today, with 120 acres, the business is still expanding and we currently produce beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck, eggs and vegetables for sale through our farm shop. We are looking for individuals or groups of wwoofers keen to experience a diverse farming life. New ideas and enthusiasm will go a long way! Modern, hostel style accommodation is adjacent to the farm house with all mod cons including internet connection, television as well as kitchen, shower room and lounge area. Vegetarian or carnivorous, much of what you eat will have been produced on the farm. We have a couple of bicycles for ventures into the nearby towns and villages. For longer journeys, public transport is available to Belfast, along the Antrim Coast and further afield. Tasks will involve weeding, fruit and veg picking, routine animal management and general farm maintenance. This is a perfect opportunity for those wanting a place to stay and work with a view to further exploring Ireland. We look forward to hearing from you.

CURRENTLY NO VACANCIES. Our family run farm is located on the only island off N. Ireland. The farm is an Area of Special Scientific Interest, with 2 historic monuments. We have cows, sheep, pigs, hens and have recently installed a polytunnel. The island is rich in culture and tradition with unspoilt views of ireland and scotland. Its a fantastic place for anyone interested in walking and wildlife with easy access to the mainland. We are looking for enthusiastic people, who can work by themselves after some direction. Experience of painting, gardening, general maintenance would be benefical. Minimum of 2 weeks stay, this location would suit a couple or two friends.

Historic island family (mainly adults), involved in many aspects of island life including fishing (plenty of seafood), wildlife conservation,(puffins), visitors (camping barn), and community (events and activities). Adaptability and patience are requirements - with weather and tides the main determinators of work at any given time. WWOOFers are given the opportunity to experience life as we live it. Usually meals are taken together, (meat and/or vege. but specialist supplies are not easy to come by here). Sleeping may be in caravan, dorm, tent or house - the best available.

Located closely to the picuresque village of Bawnboy and neighbouring Swanlinbar, this area is popular with fisherman, walkers and hikers. Swanlinbar is located in a beautiful region, dominated by steep mountains with Bawnboy being surrounded by many lakes. County: Clare

We have just started this adventure ourselves a few months ago by moving to a 300 year old farmhouse in the beautiful countryside of the Burren. Our plans are to set up a happy peaceful communal place that includes working with nature, sustainable living and circus. I am planning to grow vegetables in one part of the garden this summer and plant fruit trees in another. We also have a barn where we are planning to set up a trapeze and use the space for juggling and acrobalance. We are looking for people with an intrest in a different more sustainable way of life who feel comfortable in a nature enviornment . People who like to express themselves physically and like creative, imaginative work will have lots of space and projects to get on with here. We prefer to take wwoofers with good english since we like to share cups of tea and good chats between work and food. In return we can offer you plenty of good food, plenty of relaxed cup of tea sessions, hopefully plenty of good conversations, experience in living more simply and sustainably as well as working with nature and it's resources.
