We have a small farm (11 acres, plus around 30 acres commanage land) We used to produce lambs; at the moment sheep population is down to 6, plus a goat, a donkey, 2 cats & a dog, but we will take on more animals soon. A small fruit orchard, own part of a hill behind the house. House is a renovatated cottage, separate bedroom for visitors. We are not connected to mains electricity grid, we run on solar & wind energy, plus stove & bottled gas. Visitors can help with a variety of tasks such as looking after the animals and general farm maintenance, fencing, hedgecutting and house improvements (presently insulating with own sheep's wool). Peter works mainly in the renewable energy sector. Languages spoken here are English, German, French, a little Italian & Spanish.

We live in a beautiful two hundred year old property with many special features. Over the years we have renovated most of the buildings and developed the lovely walled garden which consists of 2 acres - lots of mature trees, a flower garden, a formal, Victorian style vegetable garden with a little fish pond in the middle and an orchard full of young trees. We have dogs, cats, hens and a cockerel. Ours is the last house house in a small village, so we are just two minutes walk from a few shops, Post Office and pubs. The Easkey River runs just across the road from our front gate and we are only 5 minutes walk from the sea. Easkey is famous for surfing, and there are lovely walks in this peaceful, rural area. We need help with gardening and occasionally odd jobs around the property!

We live in a lovely rural setting in the south of county Sligo with extensive views of the Ox Mountains and Knochnashee, (The Hill of the Fairies). The house faces toward this stunning vista with wooded Mucklety Hill at the back. Sligo City is approximately twenty miles to the North whilst the town of Tubbercurry is three miles to the South. We farm twenty two acres and currently stock sheep, ponies and fowl. Our work is extremely varied and can consist of all aspects of gardening to heavier jobs such as fencing or basic construction. Hopefully new skills can be learned by willing WWOOFers while enjoying variation in their labours. Accommodation is a small double bedroom within the main house and bicycles are available to use for exploring the immediate area.

Situated on the brow of the Curlew Mountains, overlooking Lough Arrow, the Bricklieve Mountains and the Carrowkeel tombs, we have developed our modest farm cottage set on 52 acres into an eco-friendly guest house with separate self catering log cabins, and we are fortunate to welcome guests from all over the world in search of a sense of place. We have rescued horses, donkeys, goats, dogs and cats who have found their sanctuary here with the small flock of sheep we keep. We have planted 12 acres of native broadleaf woodland for our guests to enjoy and are always making improvements. We are close to Ballinafad village, although not in wallking distance, and there are a good selection of traditional Irish music sessions locally. We are looking for help with setting up vegetable gardens, a polytunnel, sensitive landscaping, fencing and planting and any general farm work. We are committed to protecting and promoting the future of the environment and are a friendly family of four living the dream on our farm.

Temple House Gardens

Come join me as I re-establish a large victorian walled garden on the grounds of Temple House Estate, in beautiful Sligo "the land of the heart's desire" so it is said!. I began this project in November and it is slowly taking shape. I intend to offer a range of courses/workshops such as organic and biodynamic gardening, woodland crafts, wild herb and mushroom hunting, cob building etc some of these courses will hopefully take place this year. A lot depends on sourcing funds for tutors and advertising!! While "Temple House Gardens" has an educational theme it is primarily a Market Garden in it's infancy. So there is plenty to do, dream, plan and put into action at my place. I welcome hearty enthusiasm, open ears, willing limbs and good ideas! My home is a short walk across the fields from the Garden. The Garden itself is situated on Temple House Estate, where the Perceval family run a Guest house from their stately home surrounded by a beautiful lake, woodland, rolling hills and lots of sheep.

Murson Farm

Small holding 1/2 mile from the village of Grange which is accessable by bus service. We have sheep, pigs and hens. We also have a vegetable and herb garden. We are beginners at bee keeping. We save turf during the summer, save hay and make silage which makes summer months quite hectic.

Tattie Hoaker Farm

6 acre Coastal Horticultural Production Unit with new polytunnels and field crops in magnificant setting. The farm will be feeding into its own markets which are varied and expanding. This is a good opportunity for someone to gain experience of a newly established enterprise

This is a lovely magical 19th century mill set on a small river by the sea. We are also in walking distance from the village with a few shops , a post office and pubs. We are on 5 acres with 2 small vegetable gardens and a large flower garden that need help. as well as lots of odd jobs around the place. The mill itself has been renovated over the years but there are still plenty of things that need to be done. This area is just beautiful with lots of places to walk, swim, surf ,bike ride, the list goes on.

Carrowgarry, County Sligo

A family sheep farm of about 300 acres, including 40 acres of mixed deciduous woodland, in the North West of Ireland. Farm in situated on the scenic Sligo coastline, with spectacular panoramic views, and is the EU Rural Enviromental Protection Scheme. There are a variety of interesting archaeological sites dating back to the Neolithic age. Work will be varied, including helping in the woods (EU Woodland Protection Scheme), and in the vegetable garden. This is a good opportunity for a WWOOFER looking to gain experience in these areas.
